Park is very nice and clean. Campgrounds are fairly level. We had a nest of yellowjackets close to our spot as they were flying all around our campsite. Campsites are large and playground is very close to campgrounds.

Great 4th of July fireworks show on the 3rd. Not too packed with people, easy to get in and back out without too much waiting in traffic. We were able to watch the fireworks from the grass right next to our car. Would recommend, will go again!

Lovely park, excellent amenities, no complaints there. But our weekend was ruined by the most inconsiderate people we have ever encountered in 20+ years of camping, combined with no one in authority to turn to about them. Rules pertaining to quiet hours, animals on leashes, and alcohol were completely ignored. Worst of all were the ATVs these people brought with them, and that they allowed their very young children to drive around - full of other very young children - at all hours of day and night. It was a tragedy waiting to happen. In addition to no one enforcing the rules, cell signal was non-existent so we couldn't even call 911 had an accident occurred. It's really too bad because it's a lovely park, but if these are the kinds of patrons they allow to come in with no restrictions, we will never return there. If you're reading this, I'm talking to those of you who were in campsites 26, 27 and 28 the weekend of April 30-May 2, 2021. We will stick to Indiana State Parks from now on where we know the DNR is there for us whenever needed, 24/7.

A very nice small campground, well kept. The pool is amazing. The sites are a little close but very wide in themselves. 26 on the end is a bit of a distance from the electrical hookup. Nice hiking trails, bathroom was a little rough, and porta pot by the gate house was full.Despite the rain it was a nice weekend.

I used to come here a lot as a kid but have moved out of the area. It was great getting the chance to visit. The park has added another ball diamond, camping and an observatory. Hopefully I can get a visit in while these things are open. Everything was closed while we were there, but we had a lot of fun anyway. They also have hiking trails, a pool and several playgrounds.

South Harrison Park includes an Olympic size pool; picnic areas; hiking; basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts; baseball fields; concession stand; playgrounds; shelter houses; observatory; and sixty new campsites.
