Been here a few times,always enjoyed it!! I recommend the combo tour to see most of the cave . There is a crawling tour but has to be booked in advance. They have an excellent shop with lots of rocks and clothing. The staff has always been very friendly. I like to set on the porch and pet the old cat that lives here. They have cabins and kid activities, can definitely make a day of it here. I like to take new friends and acquaintance here as most people have never been in caves. I would advise packing a lunch an bringing bottled water and going early around 9am, there are some gas stations if you want to grab snack of food when there. They have restroom and they have always been very clean. There is also a trail and a sink hole to see.

The cave itself is beautiful and definitely worth the visit. Between the two tours, we liked the Crystal Palace tour better due to the rock formations that you walked through. It would be nice if you could do both tours combined all at once rather than having to wait in between until the latter tour started (in our case around half an hour). Both of the tour guides were OK, but not great. Also, due to some lack of coordination/planning, both tours messed up the part of experiencing true total darkness (due to lights being on where another tour was going through, or prior lights not timing off right away). Finally, being privately owned rather than a state park, the commercialization aspect has a stronger presence felt than what I enjoy most at Indiana state parks.

Great spur of the moment stop. We were able to go in and book a tour within 10 minutes of arriving. A natural wonder. Everyone needs to see this in real life. The cool temperature in the cave was a nice relief to the heat. The tour guide had great Dad jokes.

The cave was AMAZING! The tour guides were great as well EXCEPT that they need to actually educate on the cave and stop telling tired “Dad Jokes” that each tour guide parrots. We did both tours and both tour guides told the exact same terrible jokes. Try to put your personality into the tour and stop reading the script. Also, we don’t need to know what the formations “look like” . The natural beauty is enough.

Went on two of the tours which covered both sides of the main cavern areas. The tour guide was informative and pointed out the main features. We enjoyed the tours but felt that they could reduce the number of people on each tour. There were times when at the back we couldn't hear the tour guide or see what they were discussing. Highly recommend seeing this natural beauty!

This was the first time for me to visit the cave with my family. The parking lot was full but I did find a spot within a couple of minutes. The process of buying the tickets was great, and I bought the two tours of the cave. The experience was great, the workers as well as the guides were all smiling and welcoming. Take in mind that the tours start every 30min and when you are done with the first one, you will probably have a 30min break before going to the second one. However, we have spent around 4-5 hours from arrival time until we left.

Camp creekside at Marengo Cave. All sites now have electric hook ups. Amenities include a fire pit, grills, picnic tables, and nearby modern showers and restrooms. We also have free WIFI available at the gift shop! Some sites have electric or an 11’ by 11’ Pavilion.
