Located at Indiana Caverns in Corydon, Indiana, the Deep Darkness Tour is an underground adventure that takes visitors through part of the Binkley Cave system—Indiana’s longest cave system and one of the longest in the country.
The guided experience begins with a 93-foot descent using a ladder and belay system, followed by a trek deeper into the cave to reach a subterranean river. From there, participants continue the expedition both on foot and by kayak, traveling through passages as the water deepens. The tour provides a combination of hiking, climbing, and paddling within a cave environment.
Tours last approximately four hours, and all necessary equipment is provided. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing in layers and sturdy shoes. Deep Darkness tours are available by reservation only.
