May and June Festivals and Events

Spring brings fresh air, warm sunshine, and more things to do! The next couple of months promise fun-filled events, many of which are outdoors and free of charge.

Nothing signals the end of winter more than farmer’s markets reopening! We’re lucky to have two: The Corydon Farmer’s Market and the Harrison County Farmer’s Market. Between the two, you can purchase fresh produce (and other things) three days a week while supporting our local farmers.

Enjoy entertainment al fresco with Shakespeare in the Park and movies at Lanesville’s Heritage Park. The Spring Wine Walk, Southern Indiana Uncorked, and concerts at Turtle Run Winery offer fun outings for you and your friends. Or be a little adventurous with weekend special events hosted by Cave Country Canoes.

Learners of all ages can appreciate the Corydon Capitol State Historic Site’s educational offerings: A beekeeping class, Juneteenth celebration, and homeschool day.

And—last but not least—after last year’s postponement, the state’s longest running county fair is back in June!
