Veteran’s Memorial Day hosted by the Old State Capitol VFW Post

The Old State Capital VFW Post 2950 will be conducting a Memorial Day Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday May 29th in the Veteran’s Monument area of Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.  The District Commander for the Army Corps of Engineers will be giving a short speech.

After the ceremony, the VFW members along with the Veterans of Harrison County will “parade” down from Cedar Hill Cemetery to the Harrison County Veteran’s Memorial (located at Walnut and Capitol) for a wreath laying ceremony.

A free meal is offered to veterans and their families from 12:30 to 2:00 in the gym of St. Joseph School.  Reservations must be made in advance.
