It is the first of what will become a biennial juried show of contemporary regional artists who perpetuate Southern Indiana’s rich artistic heritage that began with the Wonderland Way Art Club. Color and Form: A Duet
The work of local artists, Leah Porter and Rita Koerber, will be featured in “Color and Form: A Duet” in the Members’ Gallery. Porter is known for the exacting detail of her “plants” – sculptures made from copper wire, beads, glass, rocks, and curious pieces of wood. Koerber is a fabric artist known for incorporating Indonesian designs and fabric – batik and songket – into her traditional quilts, table runners, and other functional art.
Opening Reception: Friday August 19 5:30 – 7:30
Gallery Talk: Saturday September 17 at 2:00
Artists’ Lecture: Tuesday September 20 at 7:00
