Join us for the 87th Annual Halloween Parade in historic downtown Corydon!

Parade registration and lineup will begin at 3 p.m. at the Fred Cammack Corydon Farmers Market, located at 124 S. Mulberry St.

The route will be the same as previous years:  from the Farmers Market, the parade will travel east to Maple Street, turn north to Chestnut Street, head west on Chestnut, proceed to Capitol Avenue, turn north on Capitol, travel to Walnut Street, head west on Walnut and then disperse.

Awards will be given in the following categories:

Best Animal, Best Performing Group, Best Vehicle, Grand Marshal Award and Presidential Award.

Organizers remind participants that candy and other items are not to be thrown from floats or vehicles in the parade.

The Friends will bring back the traditional costume contest this year. It will take place at Bicentennial Park in downtown Corydon. Registration will begin at 2:30 p.m. with judging at 4. Age groups for entries will be 0 to 12 months, 1 to 2 years old, 3 and 4 years old, Kindergarten to 1st Grade, Grades 2 & 3, Grades 4 & 5, Junior & Senior High School and Adults.

There is no entry fee, and all are encouraged to participate.
