First Day Float at Old Mill Canoe Rentals

Up for a New Year Adventure? Looking for a unique way to spend the first day of 2020? Want to kick off your New Year’s Fitness Goals on the river? Join us for a First Day Float!

We will be taking the 3 mile trip down the beautiful Blue River. Trip is expected to take about an hour to an hour and a half. Matt and I did this trip last week and it was exceptional. We spotted two bald eagles on this 3 mile stretch! Not to mention that the color of the water is absolutely gorgeous this time of year. This trip is not for the weak, IT WILL BE COLD!!! Wear lots and lots of layers and waterproof shoes or boots and warm gloves. Kayaks are not recommended for this trip since you tend to get wetter in them. Canoes are definitely preferred. However, we will leave it up to you to decide. No kids or pets allowed due to the cold temperature of the water. Trip takes off at 1:00 p.m.
