I ordered food to go last night and was missing our salads, but my main complaint is that the yum yum roll has declined in presentation and taste for the last year now. It used to be AMAZING. I believe they have changed the person who makes them now but they just fall apart and look as though they are thrown together. Very disappointed this has happened. I used to love getting the rolls from there. This is at the Corydon location.

We really enjoyed Yamato! Nice decor, friendly staff. The gyozo was delicious, and so was the sushi. The shrimp Yaki soba was fantastic, with large shrimp. We had two appetizers, two entrees and two sushi rolls, and the meal was less than $60! Will definitely return!

Walked in and stood at the doorway for about 5 minutes before a server approached us, said nothing, and wiped the crumbs off a booth table into the booth seats. The server did not even look at us, turned and walked to the front. A second server looked at us standing by the door, then went about her business, again, with no acknowledgement. After another minute or so with no response from staff, I approached a server filling drinks to ask if we were waiting for seats or if we seat ourselves as there is no signage with any direction. The server replied with a curt "seat yourself". We wiped the crumbs off the seat and sat in the booth. We then waited another 10-15 minutes with the tables around us receiving service and ours not even receiving a "someone will be with you shortly". While we sat, 3 more families walked in, stood for 5 or so minutes without any acknowledgment, and left. We finally left without so much as a menu on the table.Before anyone judges, I have worked multiple customer services jobs in various aspects of the business, both front and back of house. I'm usually a patient person when it comes to customer service, but this was atrocious.

I had the beef tips, was very good, rice had a very nice flavor. Only complaint on the food is that I thought it would be bigger pieces of meat. Thin sliced meat. A little more would be good as well.My daughter had the chicken. She said it was very tasty and she had a good portion of chicken and rice. Her and her little toddler shared and still had leftovers. I would eat there again any time.

I'm giving 4 stars, but only because (1) staff was great and (2) Manager made amends for a disappointing meal.I went in on a Friday evening during peak hours. I sat at a table and ordered my drink and placed two separate to-go orders. It took over 45 mins. But everyone seemed to be working hard and the waitress, Mia, was extremely kind, attentive, and apologetic about the delay. Once the meal was packaged, she gave me plenty of extra sauces and utensils and things for my meals. My commute to my hotel was just minutes away and after the first few bites, every bit of the food was awful. The steak & shrimp hibachi had little flavor..but edible. The 3 rolls of sushi I had were not good. None of them. There was just something ....off. I don't want to insinuate anything, but I've eaten A LOT of sushi and...it...was...gross! I called the restaurant and discussed only my concern with the sushi rolls. After talking to the manager, he agreed to refund me for the rolls upon the return of the food. Luckily, I was close and able to bring back the uneaten food. Had I not been, I probably would have given a lower rating. When arriving back at the restaurant, the staff was kind and gracious... not degrading or rude like some people can be when they think you're being a difficult customer.All restaurants/food have their hiccups...doesn't mean the food wouldn't have been amazing on another day. I'd definitely give it another shot, specifically because of the customer service.

I was really impressed with not only the quality of the food, but also the quantity! I got the teriyaki chicken for about $12 which came with 4 California rolls?! That was such a pleasant addition and it was amazing. If I lived in the area, I would come all the time! I highly highly recommend this restaurant. Absolutely delicious and passionate. The employees were friendly, knowledgeable, and a delight to be around. Thank you for such a great experience! ❤️

I ordered seaweed salad and miso soup delivered. There was 1/4c of weak miso soup and LITERALLY THREE BITES of seaweed with a bunch of plain iceberg lettuce underneath. This portion of food was $10. I am quarantined, guess I’ll starve. Thanks, guys.
