There’s plenty of things for your family to do in southern Indiana, even if the cold keeps you indoors. Why wait until warmer weather to travel when family adventure isn’t far away? See below for ideas for your next convenient, affordable and fun getaway in Harrison County.

Underground Adventures
Natural beauty, but sheltered from the elements.
The area’s three caves remain around 54 degrees year-round, making them a perfect activity for cold weather. Find unique adventures at each cave: from a 25-minute underground boat ride through Indiana Caverns, to Marengo Cave’s Crystal Palace, to Squire Boone Caverns’ pioneer village with functioning gristmill built by Squire (brother of Daniel Boone) in 1809.
Interactive Fun
Hi-tech learning at the Harrison County Discovery Center
At the new Harrison County Discovery Center, you’ll find interactive, immersive displays for all ages featuring the area’s wildlife, natural science, and history—including a 360-degree projection of a reenactment of the only Civil War battle fought on Indiana soil, the Battle of Corydon.

Indoor Mini Golf
Hit the greens at Golf Shores Fun Center's black light course.
The indoor 18-hole mini golf course at Golf Shores Fun Center is lit by black light, and is surrounded by murals depicting underwater and jungle scenes in neon colors.
Hotels with Indoor Pools
Comfortable lodging with amenities
Forget about winter weather while swimming in an indoor pool at your hotel. Our Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn have indoor pools in addition to complimentary breakfast, free WiFi and fitness center. Both hotels are conveniently located near I-64, dining and Historic Downtown Corydon.
