POSTPONED Hellbender Hustle at O’Bannon Woods State Park
April 18 at 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
What is a Hellbender? A Hellbender is a 24 inch salamander, which makes it the largest in North America! Would you like to learn more about hellbenders and how they are faring in nearby Blue River? Come to the 16th consecutive Hellbender Hustle 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 18th at 9 a.m. at the Hickory Hollow Nature Center of O’Bannon Woods State Park in Corydon, Indiana. This race is part road, part trail, and is ALL fun for the entire family. After crossing the finish line, enjoy the outstanding refreshments that are a hallmark of this event. Awards will be given to top finishers. Also, listen for your name to be drawn to take home a handcrafted door prize, designed and made exclusive for the Hellbender Hustle. If running/walking a 5K isn’t your thing, come and take a look at the Nature Center exhibits or just kick back and relax and listen to the sounds of a local traditional band.
Event is free, gate admission applies, $7 for Indiana residents and $9 for out of state.
