Piano Performances at the Posey House

Music will waft over Oak Street in downtown Corydon as the Historical Society of Harrison County broadcasts piano performances outside using an amplified microphone system.  “Piano Performances at the Posey House” will be held on the 2nd and 4th SUNDAY of every month beginning October 11th and are scheduled to run through June 2021 from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Historic Posey House located at 225 North Oak Street in downtown Corydon.  The piano selections will be performed on the recently restored Civil War era grand piano. The performances will be by Jean Ann Parker, well-known local pianist, who will be stationed inside the parlor of the Posey House, and will feature piano music from a variety of genres.  Due to current health conditions, the Posey House will not be open to the public but the music will be audible in the area around the Posey House. Additional piano performances will be added during the winter holiday season.  All performances are free and open to the public. Attendees are Invited to sit in their cars to listen or if outside their cars they are expected to wear masks, practice social distancing and follow all health guidelines in place at the time.
