Venture through Indiana’s first state capital while enjoying stories and spirits from the past during Corydon Capitol State Historic Site’s Historic Tavern Crawl on Sept. 28.

Find out where some of Harrison County’s more than 17 historic taverns once stood on this 75-minute walking tour, and learn the importance of early taverns since they were much more than just the local drinking locale.  Discover a few drinking songs along the way, and hear interesting legends and stories connected to the taverns.  Sample historic drinks like bounce, rattle skull, mumbo and more from the early 1800s at various stops during the event.  Light refreshments will be served.

Tickets are $15/members and $20/non-members. Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.indianamuseum.org/calendar/event/1453498/date/2019-09-28 or by calling (812) 738-4890. Reservations are required by Sept. 27.

Tours begin at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
