paleo digIndiana Caverns is a unique repository of ice age animal bones dating back 40,000 years or more.  Until now, only the visible bones and fossils on the surface have been identified.  Starting October 2th, the Indiana State Museum will begin the research to uncover the story of what happened here thousands of years ago when much of Indiana was buried by vast sheets of glacial ice and large mega fauna roamed the hills of Harrison County.
